14 more games are coming to PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium next week, and we must admit, the selection seems rather scattershot. Generally speaking, previous Extra updates have included clear patterns. For example, there have been months where we’ve been given all the Yakuza games, or all the Star Ocean games, or all the Vanillaware games. But for November 2023, there’s no real rhyme or reason to the titles that are being offered.
There are still some good picks, though (at least, in our opinion). Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is an all-time classic (even though it’s routinely on sale for pennies), Superliminal is a, er, super interesting puzzler, and Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition is dumb zombie-slaying fun. But yeah, it’s a weird mix — especially when you’re throwing the likes of Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxi Boost ON in there as well.
Meanwhile, Premium’s… decent? Grandia is a beloved old RPG, Jet Moto is a cool shout, PaRappa the Rapper 2 is, well, more PaRappa, and Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a must for platforming fans.
